I paid my entry fee, so I'm in. Here's the flyer Boulevard Road Race. Check the course profile and the "appropriate clothing" clause. Last year several SoCal riders went there thinking they were at the beach instead of a cold, rainy and snowy mountain top and some must have suffered hypothermia. Let the games begin!

Let me ask you to recite the Boulevard mantra. You know the one. You know what happened before, during and after it! You know who coined it and why. You know what went on that week. Altogether now: Boulevard mantra.
ReplyDeleteGo gettem!
ReplyDeleteLimes - mantra? Do you mean no rain, no snow, please???
ReplyDeleteWD - I'm on my way!
Oh, Badger, how quickly you forget ~ I'm crushed. It's "You know what to do!" You had 60 seconds at the starting line to e-mail me "F*#k, snow is sticking to the ground!" I popped mine back in a nano-second: "You know what to do!" You did it. It's the race after which you had the revelation that you don't lose races on the climb, you lose them on the descents. Except you almost immediately stopped losing races for that reason. Come on, Boulevard! Come on Bakersfield! Come on Kenny and your ringers!
ReplyDeleteWV - waterse. What I hand up to you at the Skull Valley race.
no losing races. no fear. no bullshit. goal: set it and get it!
