Post Cards From the Edge

The final pitch upward after two fifteen mile climbs.

Ray Cook finishing the first stage.

Now it's my turn.

Prepping for the 2nd stage.  Note the mountains in the background.  The Eastern Sierras are my favorite!

Before the race in full winter jacket.

Our destination.

Gary Shuey winning the GC in the 55+.

Thirty one degrees, light snow, and 25 mph winds!

Damn, it's cold!

I think they're trying to lift me up and toss me over the edge!

  2. I tried to comment, but blogger was broken. I just wanted to say well done and congratulations. What tough conditions! I wish all races were filmed by helicopters and uploaded to youTube so we could see them. They are all as hard fought as the 'big ones', and every bit as exciting.
